Courtright Res., Western Sierra July '08Annual trip in July brought great weather, friends and family. Michelle's parents and brother came up. Chris Brewer also made the trip, Herb Laeger couldn't make it due to the fire south of Bodfish. Fishing was good, we caught some rainbow keepers. This years plan to bolt up some new lines was vanquished when the Bosch drill motor burned out due to an old motor.
Instead we went up some new lines on the South side of Power Dome that Herb and I put in 2 years ago. Couple of 10a/b's and an 11c called "Vertical Smile". Also went over to Punk Rock and did "Erin's Climb" that we put up in 2005, originally went at 10d, I think it is really an 11a.
Highlight was finally leading Carson Kodas Arete, the only time prior was following Chris Brewer on 7-7-2002, kinda strange exactly 6 years prior. Great route with phenomenal exposure.
