Overview

The Livigno Group is a mountain range in the eastern part of Switzerland and northern Italy, around the Italian village Livigno. It is considered to be part of the Rhaetia Alps and the Eastern Alps. The Livigno Group is separated from the Bernina Group in the south-west by the Bernina Pass; from the Albula Range in the north-west by the Upper Engadin valley; from the Sesvenna Range in the north-east by the Ofen Pass and Val Müstair. The northern part of the group near Ofen Pass is the strictly protected area of the Swiss National Park. In this district the languages rhaeto-romanic and italian are spoken.
