OverviewPurian Sar Mountains is a sub-region of Batura Muztagh in Western Karakorum (Pakistan).

Hiring jeep (up to 4-5 persons) from Gilgit to Bar is possible for about 2500 - 3500 Pakistani rupees (one way).
Bar - Toltar - Buipushkutu - Birgaybari - Rara Gamuk - Sath Maru Base Camp (trekking, 2-3 days, 5-6 stages, no climbing gear needed)
Base Camp - Advanced Base camp - Camp 1 (PD+/AD-, meadows, glacier, ice falls, rocks)Red TapeAccording to present regulations of Government of Pakistan no climbing permits are needed for all peaks less then 6500 m in this region. No military, border, other permits are needed as well.

According to Bar Nala villagers 100 years ago one of the hunters has killed 7 ibexes in this area. Sath Marau means "Seven Killed".
