Hasn't voted | I believe looking across Tahoe and Emerald Bay that would be a California sunrise. | | Posted Dec 19, 2005 2:40 am |

Hasn't voted | Sorry Keema, Karl was right, it is a sunset. My other Maggies Peak photo is a California/Nevada sunrise. -Fred | | Posted Dec 19, 2005 12:33 pm |

Hasn't voted | Wow!!! Wished I could have been there. I don't think I've ever seen a sunset where the color extended to the east like that. | | Posted Dec 20, 2005 12:19 am |

Hasn't voted | I drove up from Sac on a day when the weather channel showed a thin layer of clouds because these often produce the best colors. The clouds opposite a setting sun reach their most saturated color when the last rays of sun hit them, which is roughly 15-20 minutes before the best colors appear in the direction of the sun. Switch everything for a sunrise. For the Emerald Bay sunrise photo I drove up while it was dark and was lucky that the sun rose just before the band of clouds move further east. | | Posted Dec 20, 2005 5:14 pm |

Voted 10/10 | With a little glow on the foreground left lake and the pines. Looks like Tahoe and far shore are out there in the sky! | | Posted Nov 6, 2008 5:44 pm |
