Upper Range Panorama from Armstrong [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Upper Range Panorama from Armstrong
A panorama of the upper range as viewed from Armstrong (facing south). In the left foreground is Armstrong's south summit. Dead center with the brown slide is Gothics. Pyramid is to the left of Gothics, and Saddleback to the right (with long, thin slide). Basin is the peak in the background directly behind the saddle of Saddleback (appears to be part of Saddleback when viewing smaller versions of the photo). Haystack is to the left of Basin, located behind the Gothics/Saddleback col. The conical peak to the right of Basin is Marcy.

"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."   --M. Cartmill
