Beginning the lead of P5 of...
Beginning the lead of P5 of East Buttress route. Shirley is belaying me from atop P4 - a cool ledge on the arete itself. Lower portions of the East Buttress can be seen below (May 30, 2004).

yeah we had lotta stuff with us. Had 2 sets of crampons and axes (happy to have them on that shitty descent down initial part of Mounties Rt.) and some fleece I think......Shirley wanted a workout - not my fault ;)
