Thanks for posting. Brings back good memories. I'd have to say that this has got to be my favorite dog-route.


How were the weather and snow conditions. Did you do this over the weekend of 10-11 July? Baker was pretty nasty that day.

We had perfect weather: about freezing with a mild breeze. The winds were stronger at the crater and really picked up as we crossed Cathederal Gap on the way back to Muir. A lenticular soon formed on the summit so we hit the window perfecetly! The snow was firm going up, no problems. A little mushy on the way down with some bailing in the crampons but not too bad. A great day all in all! We all summited on July 11/12.

all over again. Just came aboard SP and ran into your photo. I have one of myself exactly like it....well....same spot, same position on the rope but certainly not as beautifully composed and captured. Thanks for the memories.
