OverviewConsider adopting this page from me if you have more info. I will give it to you immediately.
Setzberg is a peak rising above the Tegernsee. The peak and it's neighbor Wallberg overlook a small ski area served by the Wallbergbahn, a cable car rising from the valley floor. The peak is easily hiked on trails from several directions.
Getting ThereGo to Tegernsee, then continue south towards Kreuth. A sign will point off left to the Wallbergbahnstrasse. Follow that, and park in the lot next to the cable car building. A marked trail heads south from there, first paralleling a road that would, if you like, take you halfway up to a hut. From the hut, where the road and trail briefly meet, continue east along a forested ridge until reaching a meadow with buildings in the saddle between Wallberg and Setzberg. Setzberg is visible a short distance to the southwest.
