Easy to climb it, because there is a marked trail to the summit. From the top you can see almost all the souther part of the Ankogel group: Zsigmondykopf, Hochalmspitze, Sauleck and the Gößgraben valley.

Getting There
From Maltal valley: in summer you can go up by car on the Gößgraben valley till Gößkar barrage (from August to june you can go up by car just halfway up the valley, where the blactop first crossing the Gößbach brook).
From Gößkar barrage (1677m) about 2.5 hour to the top. First you can reach Gießener Hütte (2203m) on the nr.533 trail (about 1.5 hour). After the Hütte on the nr.536 track about 300m, and turn right on the marked path for the Winterleitenkopf.

Gießener Hütte (2203m) is near to the summit:
from 01.July to 30.September 24 bed + 42 places.
