This trail is accessed once you reach the summit cone of Mt. Washington via the Crawford Path or Gulfside Trail.
Route Description
This trail was created so that hikers on the Appalachian Trail could make a loop over the actual summit of Mt. Washington without too much extra effort. The name Trinity Heights is a former name for the summit region of Mt. Washington that has since faded but now lives in the name of this trail. The trail is only 0.3 miles in total length but is used by anyone making a summit bid on Mt. Washington from the west side of the mountain. The trail is all on boulders/scree and is the culmination of the long, arduous hike up via either the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail or the Jewell Trail.
By this point of your ascent, if inclement weather approaches, head for the summit buildings as fast as you can! Don't test mother nature!
