Overview
The route from Selva de Oza is not normal for this mountain because the long ramp of stones to reach the Collado del Rincón is very bad, but the landscape is really spectacular, specially in spring with some of snow.
The first part of the route in Barranco de Estribiella it's the same to route of Peña Forca or Chipeta Alto.
Getting ThereThe trailhead it's the Selva de Oza.
To arrive to valley of Hecho:
-From Pamplona: Yesa-Puente la Reina de Jaca-Echo.
-From Zaragoza: Huesca-Jaca-Echo.
To arrive to Selva de Oza follow the road from the village of Echo (7 km).
Route DescriptionWe leave the parking of Selva de Oza in the signal "Estribiella-Peña Forca" near of the first house of the area before the bridge. For the first part of the route in Barranco de Estribiella you must to see the route Selva de Oza-Estribiella of peak Chipeta Alto.
In the great plain after the forest (at 1600 meters) in the bottom of the access to ravine of Estribiella (great channel in right side) we turn to left to cross the river in a point signaled with some cairns. The zig-zag among the stones reach a little col and we arrive to a new plain under the cirque of Lenito, Peña Forca and Rincón de Alano. The end of the ciruqe in front of us had the evident ramp of access to Collado de Lenito but it's not the route for Rincón de Alano. Initially we follow the cairns in direction to Collado de Lenito but in the point of left side what we see the green ramp it leave this route.
The first ramp go to the access to a great ramp of white stones with hard slope. This had a very hard slope and with a little of patience we reach the exit in a channel to the Col of Rincón de Alano. In the col we descent a little to reach the bottom of the very wide ramp of north face to Rincón de Alano and finally the summit.
Enjoy the impressive and wide landscape.Essential GearIn winter and early in the season crampons and ice-axe.
Important note: according of conditions of snow the hard slope had the risk of avalanchs, it's not an advisble route in this epoch.
