Seen from the rise above the lake. The peak on the left is Spirit Mountain. On the right, near the edge, is a spur of Thunder Mountain; although it is not the highpoint by about 600', the abrupt edge and setting would provide a spectacular view of Spirit Mountain, Grasshopper Glacier, and Beartooth Mountain. Thanks, Matt! It is a great spot, isn't it? I found about the only level, non-rocky site to camp out there. This was kind of my front-porch view!
