Blue Mountain Summit
Came from the Terrell Pond direction and up a yellow blazed ski/hiking trail and then the road. Saw many people lower down on the road on their way out- but had the summit to myself. Found several benchmarks and had great views on a windy rainy day.

A great quick hike
Actually started this hike well into the afternoon after class one day. What a great way to end the day.
Climbed Blue yesterday. Great weather. I had climbed it a few times years ago. It seemed more difficult than I remember. Quite rocky in spots and the trail is in tough shape in areas.
The view was excellent, as I remember. Took longer to get down than up as the rock is slippery in some areas. All in all a nice hike.
quick hike up on way to Long Lake. Humid and no views. Firetower was cool! Waiting to try this one in January when i can bust out the crampons on the frozen rock slabs!!

April Snow
Plenty of snow on the ground after an April snowstorm. High Peaks and Blue Mtn Lake looked great from the summit.

Beautiful Day
Enjoyed a nice little hike up Blue Mountain on a beautiful late May day with minimal bugs. The views at the top were spectacular. Makes me eager to check out more of the Adirondacks...

Cold Day ,Great Hike
It was -4F when we stopped for coffee at 6:00am in Valley Forge. Im guessing 15 to 20mph winds. Nice Mountain. No views because of clouds and conditions. Snowing and blowing.
Hiked Blue Mt. with my Dad and brother while we were on a canoe trip in the Adirondacks. We saw the mountain from the Blue Mountain Lake and decided to climb it.

Avoid the busy summer weekends
I've been up Blue many times. It's a bit too crowded for my tastes on nice summer weekends....unless you go early.

Climbed Twice
One of the tougher climbs in the area but still short and well graded. I think that they moved the trailhead further up the road on my second climb.
The views aren't bad, but, in my opinion, it's better to gaze up at Blue Mountain. On every drive up to the Adirondacks from the South, this is the mountain that says you've arrived.

Slab FabA fun hike up steep slabs, but nearby Castle Rock has better views of Blue Mountain Lake.

Winter WonderlandGreat hike in the winter. Snowshoes were not needed until 3,000' where the snowfall was increased immensely. Loved the views from the tower itself.

Blue MountainClimbed via the trail from Route 30. A pleasant walk in the woods. Morning fog obscured much of the summit views.
