Last mile of hike is a class 2 leg burner, but before that is a good bit of interesting class 3 scrambling. Saw a beautiful desert fox on the way down, dark gray with red markings. Fern Canyon also one of the prettiest in Red Rock.
group of 12 took Fern Creek Route. Had some wind and snow flakes on top but all in all in was a beautiful day.

Via Pine Creek
Squeezed this in before heading to the airport and returning home. I wish I'd had more time to enjoy it.

From Bridge Mountain
Scrambled over from Bridge Mountain. Took longer than I thought it would, but still an adventurous scramble.

Perfect Spring day
Came up from Fern Canyon and did took the shortcut to the top. Followed the longer rout on the way down. Great scrambling and a fun day.

Several times
All times have started in Pine Creek (Fern Canyon branch); have gone the direct approach, and also gone arround the N side and cut around east, then west to top.

Via Fern Canyon
Scenic hike and a good workout for the quads. I do it often for the exercise and wildlife viewing.
I have seen bighorn sheep on this route many times, mostly ewes with lambs but one year a gathering of over 70 bighorns of all genders.
Fern Canyon is also very pleasant with one hidden spot in particular that resembles a rainforest rather than the desert canyon.

Finally found time to scramble up this thing. Tagged nearby "Bridge Vista Peak" afterward. Interesting summit block. After hiking back down, I left the NCA and bagged some unnamed desert peak nearby. Nice half-day leg stretcher.

To the PointMallards, frogs, and many bighorn sheep along the way. Much brush to be pushed through in the lower canyon, and a lot of water in the canyon bottom.
