Many Glacier Trifecta
Apikuni- Henkel- Crowfeet.
Started the day at apikuni falls. Climbed up a dry stream bed from the basin above the falls to the east ridge of apikuni. Continued on the ridge toward Henkel. Fun climbing to be had between the two. Then from Henkel onto Crowfeet which has an incredible summit block.

Bang bang
Fun day is the Henkel-Crowfeet double whammy. The real question is where do you go from there? We eventually decided on downclimbing to the Ptarmigan tunnel trail but not without difficult cliffs to negotiate. During which my friend's Nalgene slipped out of his pack and went for a couple hundred foot ride. But it's true, they really are indestructible.
Quite the slog up. Took the left-leaning ramp up from Ptarmigan. Glad we didn't have to route find down from the top. We had horrendous winds. Got to within 15 feet of the summit and had to say no because with gusts of 60+, we very well could have been blown right off the top. The traverse over to Henkel was definitely the highlight.

A rough day indeed
Climbing with JT (Wolfrising) Getting over a chest cold, and hungover it was a hot a rough day. Great summit views, and some of the worst sunburn of my life.

Toughest of the year
due to a massive hangover. I had done Henkel before, and the Ptarmigan bridge was out, so we decided to sidehill it up. Bad idea. Hangover plus 90 degree day equals rough climb! The summit was amazing though. Beautiful views of some of the parks BIG peaks! The crack in the summit was impressive.
Loved everything but the scree down the the tunnel. And the worst sunburn of my life after and uncovered summit nap.

Crowfeet
Climbed via the ridge walk from Henkel with several other members of the GMS. Hot and sunny after an early morning rain storm. The summit is very small the 11 of us could not all fit at the same time. Found a summit log placed there by the GMS in 1983.
Descended to Ptarmigan Lake.

Route: Ptarmigan Lake approach (west)
Ascended alone on a perfect day... the scree field on the west side leading up from Ptarmigan Lake was loose and demanding. I can imagine it's a much more enjoyable descent in this direction! From Crowfeet, walked ridge to Henkel then on to Apikuni before descending back down to the valley. Hiking/climbing solo made it all the more rewarding!
Hiked the beautiful ridge to Crowfeet after climbing Henkel on June 15, 2013. We traversed below and to the west of the summit block to investigate the large crack that runs right next to the summit. Continued around the block to just north of the summit, where a couple of class III/IV moves were required to get to the top. Great hand and foot holds made for an easy ascent/descent via this face. Able to find small patches of scree to break up the otherwise chunky and tiring descent towards Ptarmigan Lake.

Cool day in the wind, nice out of the wind, but never mind that--the views are terrific! Climbed with Moni and Fred; tiring day, but Glacier Park and companions made it a day well worth the effort.

A cool and blustery day, but with everchanging, fantastic views. Descent was a bit difficult to find - one of the few times that Edwards was not very clear in the guidebook.
