July 8: Alexander Basin. Tons of snow left. Had snowfield all to self. Could have used crampons, but step-kicking worked. Excellent glissades back down into the valley. THIS is the way to climb this mountain. Best 5.2 miles I've had in SLC area thus far. Lots of fun for a short climb.
July 6: Butler Fork. Besides the wonderful trail, wildflowers, and great views of Twin Peaks, I most enjoyed surveying the tremendous avalanche damage in Mill A Basin. Plenty of snow still left in the chutes and every aspen near the chutes was bent over at a 45-degree angle if not broken outright.

started at 3:45pm after class. steep trail up Alexander Basin, but very nice. Summitted Gobblers at 5:15pm. Over to Mt. Raymond-summit at 6:00pm. Back over Gobblers and back to the truck at 8pm. Some fun scrambing near the top of Raymond.

A weak name but a strong summit
Went up with my buddy Eric, his wife Debbie, and our dogs Taz and Stitch. Steep from the start but a fun hike. 3" of snow after Alexander Basin and all the mud and rock to make you feel like a pro. Good hike

A walk in the clouds
Came up from Alexander Basin. Two to three inches of snow in the rocks at the top of the basin. Cloudy and cold on top. Went down the west ridge to Baker Pass, then down Bowman, taking the cut off back over to Alexander TH.

Alexander Basin
Planned to start from Bowman Fork but passed it and ended up starting at Alexander Basin. Hiked with Caroline and Dustin. Short but steep! The top was pretty fun and had some good views. It inspired us to hike Mount Raymond.

Did this after work
Hiked through Alexander Basin one night after work. Beautiful sunset over the valley.
4/23/2009 From the MC road/Bowman Fork with Moogie737. My 35th time.
3/7/2008 I started out thinking it was going to take forever since I had to break trail. But, once I hit Circle All Pass there was a nice crust and things went a lot quicker. Nice, beautiful sunny day. My 33rd time to the top. Saw no one.

Skied East Side
March 5, 2016. Snowshoed in from Butler Fork, crossed the first saddle (circle all???), then turned north and up the south running ridge that juts off the peak. Pretty steep, took 4.5 hours to reach the peak. Warm day, too warm for this early in March, and the snow was very soft on the descent.

Jan 16, 2010 - Skinned up from Butlers Fork, over circle all, up to the saddle between Raymond and Gobblers then up to the 10,224 ft peak. Skied down the east side of the 10,224 ft peak, and worked our way back to BCC road.

Nov 28, 2009 - From Mill Creek Canyon
Climbed up via the Bowman Fork trail from Mill Creek Canyon. Enjoyed the views once I reached the saddle between Raymond Peak and Gobblers Knob. Looking south it was great to see the Cottonwood ridge. Interestingly, there was a moose feeding about 10 feet below the peak.

Gobblers Knob via Mill B North Fork Trailhead
Fun day hike! Beautiful scenery at the top in all directions. The last ten minutes or so to the summit required us hiking in the snow, which wasn't as bad as expected seeing I was in shorts. A good incline at the start, but nothing too hard. A hike I'd definitely do again.
