High Point NJ #25/50A quick easy drive up in the rain. It stopped once we got to the top. Brought my two dogs with me. Gorgeous 360 views.

US State Highpoint 13/50First highpoint of 2021, and first of three on June 11th. The obelisk is super cool, gotta be one of the most unique highpoint markers despite being one of the lower highpoints. Oh NJ, you never fail to overcompensate. 13/50

High Point NJAfter visiting Jerimoth Hill in the morning, I came here to summit NJ. It was raining and visibility was only a few hundred feet. Climbed the 220 ft to the top of the tower. State highpoint #25. Halfway through the states.

High Point #24Short little hike up to the giant obelisk monument through the woods. Surprisingly great views of New Jersey and the surrounding areas!

HP# 10Had a couple weeks off from work, decided to take a trip to the East from IL to hit a bunch of HPs. (HP 7 of 9 during this trip.) Nice drive. Some hiking trails available. Monument was closed for the season, so I couldn't go up the "staircase". Pretty nice view none-the-less.

Drove the Magic Bus to the peakLeah and I drove the Magic Bus all the way up to the peak. Fun. Got nervous a little with how steep the road was in High Point State Park but we made it! Peak # 13 for us!

Highpoint #3Made the 3 hour drive from Southern RI starting at 4:30am. Enjoyed this one on a beautiful june morning- nice rocky singletrack through the woods with some awesome viewpoints. The monument is impressive looking but the windows were quite blurry.

First ClimbThis was my first mountain climb, so why not go big and go to the highest point in New Jersey! I took my 18 month old husky along for the hike and it was an absolutely spectacular experience. Trail was very easily marked, sights were extraordinary, and overall it is a great beginning for anyone looking to explore the beauty of nature.

HP#47What a pleasant surprise! I loved this area and the highpoint. Maybe I got lucky visiting it during a pandemic but I had the place to myself. The monument was not open due to the pandemic so I didn't get to go inside that, but that isn't the natural highpoint anyway. I located two benchmarks, one behind the towers front door and the other in front of it - both 20 yards or so from the structure. It was all fogged in so I didn't get long view but I still enjoyed it a lot. What a neat surprise for a crowded state like NJ.

Saving easy for last15 years of chasing state highpoints ended here on a beautiful (although little smokey) crisp morning. Parked on the road to the east and jogged up the AT to the top. Only a couple of people up there. Had some celebratory beers. Felt surreal to be done.

Re: Saving easy for lastI've been at it for 18.5 years, NJ was #47 for me as I also saved the easy ones for last.

Slow goingLong drive from the DMV to get here. The driving conditions were not ideal. The roads were slick and wintery conditions existed. I saw several wipeouts on the way here. When I entered the park, a ranger was using the big snow plow. He told me the park was open but most roads were closed and impassable. I decided to make the trek up anyway. Totally worth it. It was foggy and whiteout conditions. I could barely see the Monument through the fog and whiteout.

HP #13!Couldn't enjoy this summit in the slightest as it was pouring buckets here at the top... but I will be back! Regardless, still counted as another HP added.

HP #35Was on the east coast to run the Boston Marathon, and decided to hit the highpoints of NJ & DE. Gave me a chance to visit Philly as well, a city to which I'd never been before, and will go back many times hereafter. Such a cool city!
