Very niceIt shows the peak's shape well. Great photo. The peak is high on my list for this year.

Re: Very niceThanks, Scott. The mountain is really quite an optical illusion, since it's not really a peak, but rather more of a sharp ridge that extends back behind the top. From vantage points on other nearby mountains, like Apache or Toll, it doesn't really look like much... unless you know what you're looking at.

Re: Very niceI know its not a peak, but I would still like to climb it. In late November, a few years ago, I went up there, but missed the summit by 400(?) feet or so. Conditions were not ideal. I'll probably bag it this late Summer or Fall.

Re: NiceThanks. No it's not sepia, although I agree it definitely has the feel. This was actually the color of everything. It was sunset time.

ObviousIt was really obvious this photo would become the photo of the week. No other was even close to this quality. Very nice atmosphere and odd color setting. Great shot, Jack!

Re: JackYes, I hiked in the ~7 miles and had just enough time to take off my pack, find a good spot, and put the camera on the tripod. It was chilly but I had to wait till later to put on my jacket!

Magic MountainLone Eagle Peak always looks stunning, no matter the conditions or photographer, but this is the most attractive image I have seen of it. Great work!
