A great place to learn multi pitch friction. Have taken beginners on sundial and the nose numerous times. Very interesting features as many of the holds are these undercling eyebrows.
Love this place...but can be a circus on weekends.

Wow!
This was my first time on a multi-pitch route, and probably on a trad route. My buddy and I went up the nose kind of slowly, taking about 3 hours to complete. Since we only had one 60m rope at the time, we didn't feel safe rappelling, so we hiked down. We took the escape scramble off to the left on the last pitch as well, which was a breeze. Fun climb, and a great intro to trad and multi-pitch.
We went again in December 2011, this time I led. It was super windy, and the rock was wet. Neither of us had climbed much in the past months either. I made it up the first pitch and it took nearly an hour, as I did not trust hardly any of my gear placements (still being new to trad, plus having a lack of confidence since I hadn't climbed much lately, and those eyebrows are something else!) and it being so windy. we decided to turn around here, as we also saw other climbers on adjacent routes turning back after their first or second pitches too. Still fun and I'm glad we went.
Also, I have hiked it at least 3 times. The switchbacks get a little annoying, but the last 1/4 mile or so are worth it. It's nice resting near the helipad, and the views are great from the summit. Very similar to Table Rock. Coming back it is kind of easy to get off route, but also easy to get back on.

Solitude
climbing this popular mountain on a Monday gave me all the solitude at the top I could possibly want
I hiked the summit trail here during a spring trip out here. The trail isn't too exciting at that time of year, but the views from the big slabs up top were excellent.
The views after crossing over the top and descending to the cliff top are spectacular

FALL FOLIAGE
The views looking back at the BRP are amazing in the Fall. The slopes of the mountains were ablaze with color. Easy 6.2 mile RT hike.

Fun Place
Just about everything is fun. It can get crowded when Fox Mountain Guides are there but there are enough routes to go around.

Looking Glass Rock Trail
Despite the fact that the heat and humidity nearly killed us, Mom & I enjoyed the hike to the summit of this peak, and then on to the overlook. We especially enjoyed the blooming mountain laurel and azaelias along the way.
