What a haul
Did from Loj via Feldspar Bk/Four Corners, up and over Marcy after and down the Van Hov, 17 miles. Legs decided to give up after Marcy Dam. Beautiful day.

Four Corners
Our 46th winter peak! No views from the top as the clouds moved back in and it was super windy, but it was our big finish! Awesome! Definitely must return to this one!

Mount Skylight
Climbed with Gray via the Uphill Brook Trail from Tahawus. My final peak of the forty-six and a great finish to a multi-day trek. We arrived at the summit of Skylight's beautiful grassy dome around noon on what might have been the finest day of the year. Fantastic views of Marcy, Haystack and Panther Gorge abound. Don't forget to bring a stone to the summit cairn!

I loved this peak -- so mellow. Lots of snow.

Take a small stone to the top to appease the weather gods. It's supposed to bring good weather, although I'm not sure if that means snow, ice, or sun in the Adirondacks.
Climbed this as part of a 2 night trip with my dad quite some time ago, also did Marcy the same day.

Great sister to Marcy!
This can be a bonus to a day climb of Marcy from the south, but makes for a long day!

Wow
After climbing over Haystack the day before and sleeping in Panther Gorge is ungodly rain. We woke to a beautiful day and went up Skylight. It was an incredible summit, so open.

Did both Marcy and Skylight at night. I don't remember seeing much. It was a bit dark. Were on the summit at about 11pm. Good times.

bonus peak
Tagged the summit on the way to Marcy. No views (clouded over), but had fun leaning into the wind while balancing on a boulder on the summit.

Excellent winter ascent!
Along with Nartreb, hiked up Skylight in no visibility with about 30 mph winds. Good rime on trees and rock.
Easy hike, (not the approach but the mountain itself). even in winter
From ADK Loj via Van Ho trail, over Marcy, bushwhack to Gray and down to Lake Tear of the Clouds, up to Four Corners, tagged Skylight, back down and out via Lake Arnold. Weather: a little too perfect (a little too warm on this winter day; snow conditions turned bad later in the day.

After Work
Headed out after finishing work at the Monopole (Plattsburgh). Good trail run to the stone collection. Weather was marginal.
Route Climbed: From Opalescent brook shelter Date Climbed: October 2000
We hiked up and got some views to the south on skylight. There was a lot of snow on the ground. We spotted a pine marten at the trail junction below the summit before heading up Marcy which afforded no views, but had lots of ice and snow.
Route Climbed: Via Avalance Pass Date Climbed: October 13, 1996
Spent two cold days bagging the High Peaks. Hit Algonquain, Coldon and Gray, spent a brutally cold night in a lean-to then hit Skylight, Marcy and Phelps. We were past peak for the foliage thus making this a cold overcast and gloomy adventure.
Route Climbed: Hiking Trail from the north Date Climbed: Sept 10, 2000
This hike (7.5 miles, 3000 feet in under 4 hours) convinced me that I could climb all 46 Adirondack High Peaks. After reaching Marcy, I climbed nearby Skylight, and Gray. The view of Marcy to the north from Skylight is aesthetically pleasing.
