"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Very Fun Outing! There are probably few Americans who venture nearly three hours north of the border during Spring to go to the Whistler area... without planning to visit Whistler and to go as a day trip. But Grant, John, and I did just that.
We took a variation of the "NE Direct" route. There was one 150'-200' long section of super-steep forest which required crampons or microspikes. I think crampons would be best, because of the front-pointing capabilities. Outside of that one short section, however, the rest of the route was straightforward and easy.
What a great day to be in the mountains. I plan to go back up to that area in the future.
