Hiked in a light snow. Very quiet and peaceful.
Very peaceful day. Nobody on the trails, but there were 4 tenants in the cabin and we shared some snacks.

Bread Loaf only
Climbed just Bread Loaf. Bushwhacked straight to the summit, bypassing Skyline Pond Trail. Followed previous snowshoers who turned around. We kept going to the top and broke trail along the LT.

From the Skylight Pond Trail on FS59
Only two hours and five minutes to summit, although I was clearing brush and small trees off the trail which resulted from the recent Noreaster that blew through a few weeks ago. The wooden sign at the intersection of the Long Trail and the Skyline Pond Trail got hammered flat by a fallen tree, so make sure you orient yourself properly when you get to the height of land. I hopped over to Wilson afterward before heading back the way I came.

Ascended via Skylight Pond trail. Visited the LT shelter at Skylight Pond and also nearby Battell Mtn before heading over to Breadloaf. The view from the ledge on Battell to the West was better than Breadloaf, but Breadloaf had some nice glimpses to the north. A really nice Balsam forest ridge hike.

Mount Wilson/Bread Loaf Mountain
Climbed via the Skylight Pond Trail from USFS Road 59. A good hike to do on a cloudy day. Skylight Pond was well worth the jaunt off the Long Trail. Had some limited views from Bread Loaf; better ones over on Wilson.

Wet
Climbed this ridge in the rain and fog. Not much fun. And it is quite true that you never really know when you have summited these mountains.
