Bunch of different ways to do this one and this (approach via bowl on the NW side, then west ridge to summit) was a great one.

Success!
One of the best desert peaks in the country. It is like an obstacle course to reach the summit. So fun!

Mount Wilson Via Lovell Canyon
12 miles round trip with 2700 feet elevation gain. Took about 8 hours. The hardest part is the scree coming off First Creek Overlook. Definitely have to be very careful! There was maybe 1 class 3 spot with mostly class 1/2 hiking. No exposure that I can remember. Saw a large pack of 10+ Bighorns near the south summit!

Solo from the west ridgeline
Scramble from the west ridge. Finally a successful summit after getting shut down twice via Hidden Bowl route due to weather and injury. Found a small Limestone Arch just south of point 2124 (W of Wilson summit).
An enjoyable journey via Hidden Bowl. The bowl itself is mostly walking up steep slabs -- not as much climbing as I expected. But the view from the top is epic, possibly my favorite ever.

Solo via First Creek
The weather couldn't have been better, clear and not too hot. It had also recently rained which meant there was a substantial amount of water. However that combination also fueled an explosion of growth along the trail that I hadn't experienced before in Red Rock and it slowed my progress. The register had a couple of signatures already for May the most recent being May 2nd. It looks like about 1 to 2 people a week are making it to the summit now.

Inti Watana to Rez (V 5.10+)
12 hours car to car. Pitched out first 2 due to cold, than linked the rest of the pitches to top of IW. Than about 4-5 more to the summit. Great day, great climbing, awesome views, excellent partner.

I hiked this one with Danny Fazekas. The scramble down from Pt. 2124 (meters) was more challenging than what Danny had done before but we did it. I had planned to do Rainbow as well, but we decided to save that for another day.

Very happy to bag this peak. If I went the rest of my life never again entering First Creek Canyon, I think I'd be ok. The bouldering is fun at first, but gets old pretty quickly. This is a stout route, never seems to quit, but provides quite the sense of accomplishment when done. It's very easy to find the ammo box and survey marker. Interesting that this used to be a seldom-climbed peak, but now it seems to be climbed close to every day.
If I wanted to summit again, I'd probably choose the West approach.

Solo via Hidden Bowl
I wanted to climb Wilson via the Hidden Bowl sometime on my own. Beautiful weather, and no one had been up there for some time; too hot in the summer, and I'm likely the first this fall, as there were no footprints anywhere after leaving the canyon. The register was missing, however. That's the 7th peak in the last couple of months where the register was gone.

Mount Wilson via First Creek
First summit for my little sister. Tried to follow the standard Hidden Bowl route but ended up turning too far south after leaving the canyon and gaining the ridge at the White Pinnacle, from where we traversed to the true summit. Fun climb, perfect day. Descended by traveling West from the summit in order to descend through the entirety of First Creek Canyon.
Now that it's Spring, the First Creek Canyon is rapidly filling with fresh new growth on all the brush. Noticeably present now is the abundant grape vine growth, as well as all the other brush that has lain dormant all winter. Progress up the canyon is appreciably slower, and temperatures are quite warm in the canyon. There is still quite a bit of water running over the falls and in several pools.

Beautiful and fun in the canyon but a pretty boring slog above it. However, the summit is worth it.
