I was...skiing with a friend up at Brian Head this week and he asked if I had walked down some trail in Cedar Breaks to see the Bristlecone Pines...I have not...will have to do

Re: I was...Definitely do sometime. I haven't seen any other trees that look pretty even when they are dead like bristlecones. This one is not the best example of that. There's not much left of it, but I liked the atmosphere and lighting in this spot. Cheers.

Re: Great contrast !!!We did the hike before the new snow arrived so yes it was a very hard packed snow on top and lower down on route either hardpacked or icy in many spots. One section, the scree slope was snow free.

Pretty!What a clear and beautifully colored image! I like the snow texture, the lighting and the sky. Almost like being there to look at it.

Re: Pretty!I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was nice up there. The air was so clear that we could even see the Sierras to the west far on horizon, which is pretty rare.
