Nice short day route
On the day afrer climbing Perdiguero, fancied a shorter route. Lovely half day trip, up and down in under 4 hours, with superb views of the Maladeta massif.

All but the last few metres
From a literal point of view we didn't set foot on the highest point, but we were within a few metres, our altimeter said 2715m. We were in total whiteout and reached the summit ridge just after two Spanish mountaineers. In a discussion with them, we agreed that the cornices between our high point and the summit were too dangerous to cross.
Update: Made the top on June 14th 2010. Cornice was there but visibility good so Ken, Peter and I arrived there safely at 11:43am.

Great landscape
After the very long climb of Perdiguero-Crabioules of the day before we searched a short climb in the area of Benasque. This peak it's a very good option with a normal route of 2 hours and the landscape in the summit it's great with views of Aneto-Maladeta, Perdiguero, Posets,... really a perfect week-end!
Very advisable peak for all the people in summer and the experts in winter (warning: cornises frequents!)
