Via Catherine Pass
Hiked up to Sunset Peak, then walked the ridge to Pioneer Peak, and then back to Sunset Peak. Great views of Lake Catherine, Lake Martha, and Lake Mary, as well as Mount Tuscarora. Wind gusts of about 40 mph on the peaks. Had both summits all to myself, didn't see anyone until I was heading back down the Catherine Pass Trail.

Weekly Summit
I climb this peak every Wednesday and some weeks I manage twice a week. It really never gets old. It takes about 45-50 minutes to get up from the Catherine's Pass trailhead. I will usually trail run down which only takes 30 minutes. I always recommend it to people. Great peak!

From Alta: Apr 5, 2008
I skied to the Catherines pass area of Alta, and then skinned up to the Peak of Sunset, and then skied down to Catherines Lake. It only took an hour from the time I sat down on the Supreme chair lift, skied over, skinned up, and skied down.
Nice views over to Brighton, as well as of Tuscarora, and Pioneer Peaks. Also liked the views of Mt. Timpanogos.

Brighton Ridge with autumn snow
Spent the whole day enjoying the clouds and sun come and go with fall colors and some knee-deep+ snow in some places. Came from Brighton, moved on to Tuscarora, Wolverine, and Millicent. Amazing day.
Update: In December 2010, skied two laps on the north face (only summitted for the first one) at the end of a ridge walk from Grizzly Gulch.

Fun Little Hike
I decided to go during the late afternoon. Hiked up fairly fast (probably twenty or thirty minutes at most) because I wanted to take pictures and wanted good light. Enjoyed the view from the top. (The Brighton Lakes are beautiful) On the climb down I ran into a Moose. He was eating and getting ready for bed ;)
This ridge run is very nice for views and for a good workout. We began at the Bear Trap Fork TH and came from north to south and to west to Catherine Pass before heading down. Eight hours of fun. 7-22-08 a partial ridge run including Twin Lakes pass from Silver Lake, Wolverine, Tuscarora and Pioneer Peak. R/T from Nordic Center bldg was 4.5 hours. Came down to Brighton from the top of the Crest Express lift. Wowed by the wild flowers all along the route. Again on 4-21-09 Part of Brighton Bowl ridge snow run - see write up on Mt. Wolverine summit log. #7 (at least) 4-20-10 Part of Brighton Ridge run on snow like last April. With Dave, Brent and Walt. #8 12-27-11 Part of solo Brighton Bowl ridge run-very hairy ascent from Pioneer/Sunset saddle. #9 9-18-15 W/ Yz for rehab. From Brighton via Mary's Lake trail. #10 09-02-19 W/ Yz. Part of Brighton Ridge Run from Clayton to Patsy Marley. Very warm Labor Day and 20 hikers on top of Sunset including two infants! #11 07-14-21 W/ Lana & Brent, part of Brighton ridge run. #12 09-11-23 W/Lana, 4th peak on Brighton Ridge run. #13 07-01-24 W/Lana. 3rd peak of the day and Peak #56 in my 80in80 quest. Cool & windy on top. Some snow still clinging to the east face but it didn't obstruct the trail.
