No Waiting in Line
I've hiked up Mt. Dana, Tioga Peak, Gaylor Peak and Tioga Spur so far. So many options without even having to drive through the park entrance.

Lovely area
The drive alone is beautiful, especially at dawn with the canyon bathed in light. So many accessible and varied peaks... solitude is achievable beyond the road if one desires it.
Have mountaineered, ice climbed, rock climbed, and skied plenty in this area. LOVE the skiing most of all!

High In Yosemite
Climbed Mount Dana with my father and uncle on my first trip to the region, I believe they'd both been here before. Beautiful scenery, fantastic peaks, I plan to return here in the future.
At Tioga Pass I realized we drove up to 3000+ meters. This is unthinkable in the European Alps. Beautiful and quiet here. LAter the crowds were waiting in the valley. I want to climb the surrounding mountains someday.

Love this area
I'm guessing on the date I first visited this area as an adult, but we explored nearby when I was young (grew up in nearby Bishop, CA).
That the LVC ice falls should be here, rather than on Mt. Dana...
So far:
LVC (many times)
Conness (via W. Ridge, North Ridge)
North Peak (via N. Couloir WI2-3, East Slope)
Dana (via Dana Coulior)
Gibbs (East Chutes)
Lembert Dome (several times NW Books, L. Water Crack)
