Trayfoot and Black Rock
Wandered around in the woods until I was convinced that I was at the true summit of Trayfoot. There are great views down into Paine Run along the Trayfoot Mt Trail- just scramble up the large boulders on the way. Be somewhat wary of company during the warmer months- I've heard the excited sounds of timber rattlers that bask in the sun on top of the boulders.
Climbed Trayfoot along with Blackrock. Nice autumn stroll through the woods.

Leafy Ridge
Climbed Trayfoot as part of a Blackrock/Paine Run Loop. Very nice long leafy ridge that was easy on the feet.

Trayfootin'
14 June 2011 and 18 June 2011. I hiked to the summit post, then explored the area where the true summit (with no views) is. The talus fields along the way are more interesting than the summit. Since then I have climbed it on 21 October 2011 and 6 March 2012. I have also climbed nearby Hall Mountain and Abbott Ridge - much more adventurous peaks, with no trails.

Trayfoot and Furnace
Climbed Trayfoot during a three-day backcountry trip via the Furnace Mountain Trail. Mountain laurel and orchids were in full bloom. Saw a bear cub running parallel to trail during descent to Paine Run. Great Day!

Twice to Trayfoot
The first time that I visited Trayfoot, spring was just starting. I took the Appalachian Trail to the summit of Blackrock. It was cold and windy at the summit, but the views were fantastic! The side trip to Trayfoot Mountain was worth it.
My second time was June 2007. It was a very hot day. I went up the Furnance Mountain Trail, made a side trip to the summit of Furnace Mountain, and continued to the top of Trayfoot.
