It is my personal opinion, but I don't think those girls made any cracks about you when they passed by. In fact, I don't think that they even thought for one second that you were a sissy. You were out climbing a 14er in the winter. Very few people living in CO can even say they've attempted the feat. It makes adventures much less fun if you're thinking about what others MIGHT be thinking instead of enjoying the beauty that is Colorado!
You are absolutely right those girls didn't think I was a sissy. No, I wasn't thinking about what they thought of me. We made a joke about being passed up. We enjoyed every moment up there.
