"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Arete des CosmiquesTwo attempts:
The first one - 19/07/2011
Started in the early afternoon, during the blizzard: no footsteps, no other teams on the route, it was like going into nowhere, actually. Have lost much time on routefinding. After several hours, we arrived in front of the crux slab (4c), full covered with ice and snow. The time is the killer - it was too late to continue. We decided to retreat by Cosmiques couloir.
The second one - 22/07/2011
Perfect weather. We climbed up by the Cosmiques couloir again, and have continued the ridge right 'till the end.
Beautiful! Classic one. Not to underappreciate.
Climbed with Igi and Pawel.

lazy waypaid the extra 3 euros to take the elevator up to the true summit. With a week of crappy weather preventing us from attemping any of the peaks we wanted to do (Dufour and Blanc), it was nice to still be able to get really high up. -6 C up at the top, overcast but great views.

As a variationof the Cosmique arete. I was not too well after an awful night in the Cosmique Hut ..nausea/vomiting/headache/mild AMS..in the mornining i started but backed off the Cosmique Arete very early leaving my climbing partners to complete the climb. I ascendedthe ridge back to the station.

Cheater's versionI feel bad for signing this log since I took the tram to the top, but I have been to the top, and intend on returning there someday to summit Mont Blanc. So I'll update then.
