"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Nice day climb from the Tungsten Mine cabinsThis is a great day hike from the Tungsten Mine cabins. We did it on a clear mid-day with a party of 5 humans, 2 goats, and a dog. Great photos. The mountain top is large and flat, I'd consider camping there on a future trip. There's a summit register and an empty PathTag container that wants a knickknack dropped in it. Also, the T-Mobile users in our party were happy to get some coverage atop the mountain.

What I Learned From This Summit Hike...... Gimpilator is *not* a meteorologist... our conflicting predictions of the oncoming storm (and how long it would last) proved that (i.e. I thought the worst, he thought the best)... lol... Someday we'll look back at this hike and laugh. In fact, we already do. With that said and despite all of the *painful* hail stones hitting us during our descent, this mountain has a great ascent from Apex Pass and a wonderful vantage point of some big mountains in the area. Highly recommended summit hike... minus the hail, of course.

August Hail StormThis was part of a 3 day, 60 miles of hiking trip that Redwic and I made by driving around different parts of Okanogan County. I broke my arm back in July so I could only use on trekking pole. Moments after reaching the summit, Redwic and I were hit by the most fierce hail storm I have ever seen. It lasted for 45 minutes and the hail stones were big. We made a hasty retreat to the old miners cabins at the base of Wolframite Mountain.
