Assembly Line- 170’-5.9***  Sucess!

The beginning and end pitches are not worth climbing. Rather climb Broken Tree or New Wave to reach the incredulously tall 5.9 steep hand corner that is Assembly Line. Start out stemming to fingers and then all hands with plenty of face features to assist those not use to pure crack climbing. Stem out left past new and old (2019) bolts (2) to a fixed rap, maybe a 5.6 move. Double to #3. More medium pieces if you are not an avid hand crack leader. Dow

adventure climbed  Sucess!

After not finding the route we wanted we opted to adventure climb-since we had no guide book ( i figured out what we were on afterwards). after not having big enough pro for the crack to the left of this one opted for assembly line. i was chugging up the route and totally missed the bolt marking the belay around the corner so I continued to the top of the crack, pulled the small roof only to find a huge ledge with no bolts and no good spots for a belay station. I downclimbed a little ways and made a hanging belay, after this it was an easy pitch to the top. I would recommend everything from blue metolius tcu's to a #3 camalot. However even with a double rack and nuts I had to leapfrog, but I was placing probably about ever 6 feet. Definitely a very enjoyable route

Very hot day  Sucess!

Beware of the start of the first pitch, it is pretty stout for the grade.
