Hmmm

That pile of stones is new and I wonder what they will be used for. The USGS marker is found back of the communications complex in this pic but the highest spot on Badger Mountain is found on the next communications complex which is to the right and out of this shot. Makes me homesick.

I think you might be mistaken. ALL maps show the highpoint as this (E/SE) hill, not the one (W/NW) nearby. The nearby W/NW hill looks to be a false summit, only slightly (several feet in elevation) shorter than the true summit. My GPS showed the same information, as well.
But if there is any doubt as to which is higher, just do what I did... summit both. They are certainly close enough to each other.
