I got to Lenggries with die BOB from München on a sunny day. Climbed up Brauneck then continued to Latschenkopf and Benediktenwand in about five hours with great views of the Karwendel range all day. Knee-deep snow in some parts of the latter part. Hard finding the trails on the way back through the forest, trails and signs covered in snow but then ended back in Langeneck. Saw Gämse (Chamois) and hawks. Long but beautiful day!

First Time in Alps
Hiked from the lower cable car station. It was a bit crowded even without the 50 or so trail runners there for the race that day. The views from the top were astounding even with the cloudy skies. Great place.

Small but recommendable
An absolutely recommendable summit! In good conditions the view goes to the north to Munich and to the south to the Main ridge of the Alps.
A fine but strenuous ascend goes from the station of the cable car in Lenggries via the Längental to the Feuchtecksattel. Then one can take the "Höhenweg" (Top Route) via Latschenkopf to the Brauneck. I can tell you, at this time you have earned you beer honestly ;-) But in this way one can avoid the steep and ugly "direttissima"-ascend from Lenggries.
