For a portion of my life I lived in Calgary. Before and since, I've made it a point to make pilgrimages up into these mountains. These aren't just any mountains. The experiences I've had and the people I've known who have pioneered routes here make the Canadian Rockies a place of legend to me.

Canadian RockiesClimbed several peaks in the area. Some of the finest mountains in North America, if not anywhere!

One of the best places inNorth America for established mountain trails. My favorites are Parker Ridge, Sentinal Pass and Maligne Lake
