Re: TA,...Well... yes. "Capricorn" isn't a word normally used in English for anything besides the astrological sign, but it technically has the same meaning as the much more common "goat". We don't have ibex in the US, but we do have mountain goats and big-horn sheep which are similar.

In general...TA, in general you are right. Capricorn it is common name for mountainous goats in different areas of the world. This in Alps is Alpine ibex (Capra ibex). Smaller ones living e.g.in the Tatra are named chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra).
