"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

East Face Summit BlockI found the hardest part was getting onto the flake that leads up to the finger crack. Really cool summit block and peak.

East FaceClimbed this one when I was 16 years old with my brother. Made it most of the way before my brother, who is distinctly not fond of heights, led us back down the mountain. :( Date is approximate as it was a lonnnnggg time ago and there were no websites to record it back then! :)

Route Climbed: East Face Date Climbed: Oct 9, 2005Rick Kent and I set out originally to climb Silver Peak, but after reaching the summit we started making a circuit of it, heading to nearby Sharktooth, then stopping at Cockscomb on the way out. The summit block was about as spicy as I'd care to do without a rope. Trip report
