Feel the exposure.

This is an exciting photograph. I can see a few people are down climbing this steep chute.

Thank you very much for the complement.

Hood is one of those mountains I will probably do many times over in my life. Snowclimb, small knife-edge plus its a high point. I will probably be there at least twice if not three times this year.

Yes, it looks steep.

I got as far as the Pearly Gates when I agonized over giving up or proceeding. It was very icy in late July and i was alone. I turned around. In this picture, sure it is steep but plenty of snow like this would greatly add to my feeling of security. Mt. Baker was the same way--steep, but enough snow for solid foot purchase. I made it up that one. Great picture 10/10
