What a place!  Sucess!

I don't regularly make it down to OK, but when I do, sitting between the Eyes of the Crab is always at the top of the list. What a place!

Bitter Cold Climb  Sucess!

Had a seemingly rare view of the Refuge streams and ponds frozen over during this hike. We weren't quite as light on our feet due to the temperatures, but we able to summit Crab Eyes without too much trouble. You do have to get a little creative towards the top if you're going to make it all the way up.

Wimp Out on Crab Eyes

I watched from the bottom as my partners, Bryan and Curtis, easily made the summit of Crab Eyes. It was along the slanted rock in this image that I decided I couldn't quite make it. Fifty feet to go and the exposure got to me. --mark d.

Favorite destination  Sucess!

The Crab Eyes were always my favorite destination in the Wichitas. The views were good and numerous peaks surrounded it so it was easy to tie it to trips up other summits.
