Koruna ("Crown" in English) - on condition that it is viewed from the southeast - looks intriguing. It pretends to be a fine butte, an inselberg thrown forwards by the main bulk of the rather monotonous, flat-topped sandstone hills running through the very centre of the Central Sudetes. In fact, Koruna is the southeast promontory of a cuesta known as the Broumov Walls and its top is as flat as the tops of the other hills in the area.
