Deep Space
With Joanne Urioste. Hint of rain in the air, deep chimneys...smooth climbing. Climbing with Joanne makes any route 5 star, but realistically, Deep Space is a 3 out of 5. Handren gives it no stars at all. Many times he has not personally climbed a route and it gets left out of tic lists. If you like 5.9 varnished wall climbing in Red Rock, should be on your list. Nothing R or X about it which I think also might have tarnished its reputation a little, but it as safe as any trad route at RR. Solid rock, great position, easy descent via Cat in Hat. Not much beta on the finishing options until now. I cover that well here.
