Folks , I like the articles and accounts I read on this WEB site which are not only interesting to read with fabulous pictures to view but also enrich my state of knowledge giving me a glimpse of what this world has to offer in terms of amazing scenery.
In being from an area of North America not recognised as having stark topography, I can only get a glimpse of what this world has to offer in terms of breathtaking scenery by reading the accounts and obviously viewing the pictures of those that have travelled elsewhere. Although as earlier stated, I have to admit that despite the reality of the 21st century theoretically facilitating access to the most inacessible areas of this earth, a glimpse of the relevent satellite imagery has me undertsand that there still are places in relative proximity to civilisation that have not attracted the attention they deserve ! I thus have posted a satellite image of the Groulx hills in the Manicougan region of the province of Quebec which despite not culminating at much higher than 1000 meters do appear astounding from space ! There is a deep frustration not being able to find any representative views from ground level... Who will be the first to show us some GOOD pictures ?...
Thanks kamil for the kind words. We actually are more persistent and driven by perseverance than bravery. We don't give up easily which makes for some great adventures.
Cheers.
Bill
