Chokecherry Wanderings

Went up Chokecherry and then about halfway up the ridge route towards the benchmark as described by Scott. The puppy was having some difficulty with the large block talus in parts so turned around and explored upper Chokecherry instead. Great quiet canyon...should be designated Wilderness.

Chokecherry Draw to VABM  Sucess!

Climbed with my buddy Kessler.

April 27:

The original plan was to climb Limestone Ridge on Cold Springs Mountain. After getting the car stuck in the sand, we had to walk all the way back to the highway (8 miles) to find someone to help us out. After retrieving the car, we didn't have enough time to climb Limestone Ridge.

After giving up on Limstone Ridge over on Cold Spring Mountain, we turned our sites to Diamond Mountain. We hiked to the meadow in Chockcherry Draw (3 miles)and camped.

April 28:

We climbed to the peak with the VABM on Diamond Mountain. Without a trail, it was a very long 12 hour day. Kessler fell asleep in the car immediately after finishing the hike.
