28-Mile One-Day Winter Ascent!  Sucess!

With clear blue skies wedged between a darkness start and a darkness end, I was able to do this as a mostly-hike/some-snowshoe single-day ascent. Near-record-low snowpack allowed me to hike very far to Dodger Point before reaching significant snow covering the Long Ridge Trail. The virtual window for the great weather & conditions was short-lived (I knew it would be), as bad weather moved into the region two days later and started dumping snow on the route. The views were spectacular, especially of Mount Olympus and the Bailey Range.
Highly recommended summit hike, probably best done as an overnighter.
