"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Great excursionI got to Chapultenango from Villahermosa in the morning and from there someone drove me to colonia El Viejo volcan, which a just a couple of houses for 150 pesos. I asked around for a guide here to take me to the crater, he wanted 250 but we agreed on 200 pesos. It took us two hours to reach the crater rim. I hiked down into the crater by myself. The water was very green and warm, lots of vapor in one part. Since there were no cars around I walked all the way back from colonia El Viejo to Chapultenango in 1,5 h. I spend the night there, some lady was renting rooms for the night. I liked the village, you can still here the Zoque language being spoken here. Friendly people. So glad I finally made it to Chichonal!
