A terrific TR. Thanks for the sharing and as one who has made 30 trips into the 'Chants over the years, I never get tired of the area or hearing others report their experiences up there.
I apologize for the length. It kinda go away from me. I've been twice and am looking forward to heading back at the end of next month. Have some unfinished business! I'm really most looking forward to just being there. Been in too big a hurry to peak bag lately. Will be nice to slow down a bit in such a beautiful area.
Amazing, you captured perfectly how I feel every time I step into the Alpine lakes wilderness. Being a resident to Washington, I'm a little disappointed at myself for not having taken a trip through the enchantments. Hopefully that will change this year, I have plans to climb Prusik. Anyways, thanks for the wonderful trip report, it makes me wish I could be there right now!
Apparently it's quite difficult to get permits. I've been very lucky and have gotten them the past 3 years in a row... this year for 4th of July weekend even! Good luck on Prusik! It's a blast.
With the recent rapid glacier melting and less snowpack on the glaciers rockfall has been much worse in many areas. That was a terrifying sequence that you related very well. Sounds like a wonderful group to be enchanted in the enchantments with.
It's gorgeous isn't it? I have it printed out and bound like a large magazine. I can't take credit for anything other than my writing in it. Jason did the rest.
I think I'll have to say that is one of the best put together trip reports I have ever seen! Great job! What an incredible experience this must have been! Look forward to seeing more! =)
Thanks for taking the time to read it. I know it's insanely long. It's nice when I know that people 'get it.' It's so hard to capture the magic of the area in words but I tried my best.
I'm working late, tired & exhausted, but this just caught my eye. Haven't had a chance to read it yet, but wanted to post a comment before I forgot. The PDF, which I only glanced at looks TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!! I'm gone for the weekend, but look forward to reading it soon.
Thank you for the great trip report! I was in the Enchantment Lakes area 20 years ago and still remember it like it was yesterday. What a beautiful place!
I missed a bunch of comments somehow... nice surprise to find them today :) Thanks everyone for your kind words and for indulging my long winded ramblings.

thanks :)If you can print it on someone else's color printer (it'll be a total toner hog) it's pretty nice printed out :) Makes good bathroom reading material.
