2 week western US trip
My wife and I stopped here while staying in Redwood NP. Weather wasn't good (didn't expect it to be though) but still beautiful. I have pictures of the place hanging on my walls at home.
My wife and I made our way through the canyon after massive storms left the canyon totally choked with debris.

Fern Canyon
Ferns, ferns, and more ferns! Hiked this nice little canyon during a two day visit to the Redwoods.

Nice Prelude ...
This was a nice prelude to hiking the Tall Trees Grove in the nearby Redwoods National Park, then spending a night on a gravel bar just a few hundred yards from the very tallest trees in the world. --mark d.
wandered around for a bit, really cool area. Got there a little late so I couldn't do much. There were some big elk hanging out on the beach. Really cool place, and I plan on going back!

loop dayhike
Nice dayhike and exploration of fern canyon on a dayhike with students at HSU.
Unbelievable place. In the top 3 places I've experienced which includes the entire Kenai Peninsula, Denali, Glacier Bay, Rainier, RMNP's Mirror Lake, Cascade's Enchancement Lakes, NH Presidential Range, Acadia, Canyonlands and numerous other national and state parks. A must see, being sure to include a trip to Tall Trees Grove. Absolutely Amazing
With Flanders as part of our annual trip. Of all the places I have been, this is the most awe inspiring. I kept expecting a brontosaurus to come out from behind one of the behemoth trees. Amazing hike out to the canyon. Then you come to a swampy meadow and we walked out towards the ocean. Saw an elk head pop up and we thought, cool! A few yards later, a whole herd popped up all around us. One started stamping and snorting at us. We had nowhere else to go so we slowly walked through to the beach asking the elk to stay nice. Once on the beach we walked south a few miles and then up a hill overlooking the beach where we camped. The next day we walked through morning rain and sun completing the loop back. An amazing place and highly recommended.
