Fun pitch indeed. Single to #3. Double to .75, no wires needed. Frank belayed me. First visit, first lead. Thought the rating of this pitch was in line with most places. The roof is prob the crux for most. 70m just makes it to a tree on top. If no 2nd and rapping to clean, make sure to run your rope on climbers left of the tree and it works like a charm. Stormy day, saw and heard no one. I hear that can be unusual.

Finally got on this thing, and I would have to say its a firm 5.9 The gear is good, the rock great, and the history of the line awesome. Must do for any Idylwild climber

So awesomeOne of my favorite routes anywhere. Done it a good ten times or so and need to do it about ten more.

Full value!Somehow managed to injure a finger leading up to the tree. Following out the flake and getting over the overhang was painful.
