After completing the drive to the top of Palomar, I headed over to the Laguna Mountains to complete this short hike before driving to my work retreat. This was a nice short hike, albeit a bit hot, with spectacular views in all directions. Winter would be ideal rather than June, but it's a fair ways from San Diego and I never seem to have enough time, so I decided to do it now rather than wait for the perfect conditions to hike it.

Breathtaking Views!
Climbed this peak with McMurdoSound in conjunction with Monument Peak, Spontaneity Peak (self-named because this peak didn't have one), and Garnet Mountain. It was a fun day!

Snowing on Garnet
Again, one of those spur of the moment ideas....Joan and I decided to do a quick trip from San Diego and chose this peak. No views, but we had snow all the way. No one else around.

100th HPS Peak
6 inches of fresh snow, beautiful, first did Garnet Mountain then Garnet Peak. Outstanding views. My micro HPS quest is over for now. 1993-2007 chasing old Sam Fink. What a fun journey. Thanks Sam

Halloween HikeFun hike with the kids. Magnificent and remote feel despite the proximity to the highway and PCT. Sweeping views of the desert and surrounding peaks.
