Gateway to Mordor

The frosty summit plateau of Y Glyderau in the Snowdonia range takes on an eerie appearance as the mist rolls down hiding the summit of Glyder Fawr. To pass on one must contour the 'Castle of the Wind' to regain the path that leads on to the summit. Not a place to be in a whiteout as one mistake could lead to some treacherous cliffs on the Western side and route finding quite difficult.
